Federico Espinosa

Federico Espinosa is a linguist, educator and EdTech leader based in the United Kingdom.
He is currently the Vice President of Learning at Lingoda - the online language school with live classes in English, Business English, German, French, Spanish & Italian.
He holds an MA with Distinction in Applied Linguistics from The University of Birmingham where he focused on the practical applications of cognitive linguistic frameworks to autonomous online language learning, and previously specialised his DELTA qualification around data-driven learning (in a time before GenAI).
Federico has previously been Vice President of Learning Design and Content Operations at Busuu, led the Education Team at Mrs Wordsmith, implemented adaptive learning technologies with Knewton, and was a teacher and teacher trainer for over 10 years in the USA, Guinea, Liberia, France, the Czech Republic, and Lebanon. In his free time he is an amateur classical musician, avid traveler, scuba diver, and main human to a fluffy little dog named Spike.
